Lindsay’s long and distinguished career includes roles as GroupM’s first-ever Worldwide Chief Transformation Officer, Worldwide CEO at Maxus Global, and Managing Partner at PHD.
As Chief Client Officer, Lindsay is responsible for WPP’s top global client relationships and driving organic growth. She ensures that major clients have access to the combined strengths of WPP, that the best talent is working on their accounts, and that they work effectively with WPP companies and Country Managers to deliver fully integrated solutions for clients.
Lindsay is a passionate advocate for business leaders taking meaningful action to improve gender equality. She is an ex-President of WACL (Women in Advertising and Communications) and features in the FT HERoes Champions of Women in Business 2018 list. But she is most proud of launching ‘Walk the Talk’, an initiative to help senior women overcome the cultural and psychological barriers to achieving their potential. Since launch, many WPP agencies have adopted the scheme, with over 1600 women benefitting and a 30% promotion rate within 9 months of the program. Now as CCO of WPP, she focuses on ensuring that women are (at the very least least) shortlisted for all senior roles at WPP and personally mentoring women of all levels across the WPP network.
We are delighted that Lindsay has agreed to come and talk to us about her career, its challenges and how she overcame them, and how she has adapted her leadership to be effective our current circumstances, when before the pandemic she was constantly travelling to keep in regular physical contact with her clients and colleagues.
